Having the right workout tunes can definitely help improve your mood and make your workout more awesome…

Naturally if you’re training with me or one of the Megan K Fitness team,  you won’t require awesome music, but having a kick butt song playing while you run or lift will definitely make things more fun.

Here are the Best 80s Songs For Exercise:

  • Survivor “Eye of the Tiger”
  • Kenny Loggins “Highway to the Danger Zone” “Footloose”
  • Cheap Trick “Mighty Wings”
  • Europe “The Final Countdown” (sorry Miranda)
  • Michael Sembello “Maniac”
  • Blondie “Call Me”
  • Eric Brydz “Call on Me” (yes, this might be a 90s song)
  • Olivia Newton John “Physical”
  • Michael Jackson “Billie Jean” “Beat It” “Bad”
  • Rick Springfield “Jessie’s Girl”
  • Tina Turner “What’s Love Got to Do With It?”
  • Wham “Wake me Up Before You Go Go”
  • Starship “We Built This City” “Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now”
  • Madonna “Like A Prayer” “Into the Groove” “Lucky Star” “Material Girl” and “Holiday”
  • George Michael “Faith”
  • Van Halen “Can’t Stop Loving You”
  • Bon Jovi “Livin on a Prayer” “Bad Medicine”
  • Billy Idol “Mony Mony”
  • Whitesnake “Here I Go Again”
  • Tiffany “I Think We’re Alone Now”
  • Heart “What About Love” “Barracuda”
  • Belinda Carlisle “Heaven is a Place on Earth”
  • Los Lobos “La Bamba”
  • Rick Astley “Never Gonna Give You Up”
  • Paula Abdul “Straight Up”

For all my dude bro readers, check out Will Williams of Authentic Strength Training’s faves from the 80′s.

Remember people, just because you’re getting your workout on to 80s music doesn’t mean you need to wear leg warmers, colored leggings or thong underwear on the outside of your exercise pants.

In good health,

Megan K
