Exercise To Go

by Megan K on January 25, 2011

For most people travel is inevitable.  You may go away for work or a vacation but that doesn’t mean that your fitness progress should be derailed.  There are plenty of exercises that can be done while away or on the road.

The simplest tools for keeping up with your progress while you are away are exercise bands.  They are light weight and can be packed easily in a suitcase or back pack.

Exercise bands can be used for numerous exercises: rows, presses, curls, extensions, loading squats and lunges.

You can also use body weight exercises like squats, lunges, push-ups and dips.  If you have access to a long hotel hallway you could do primal drills like the bear walk or crab walk and traveling lunges. Don’t forget burpees, step-ups and if you have a solid surface: box jumps.

Just because you go away doesn’t mean your fitness goals should stray.

In good health,

Megan K
